Been getting more interested in microsoldering recently.
Starting to realise a lot of repairs come down to board-level issues, especially on consoles, and it’s something I want to get better at.
For those already doing it:
• How did you get started?
• What equipment are you using?
• Is a microscope essential or can you get by without one at first?
I’ve got the basics covered (iron, hot air, etc.) but haven’t fully stepped into proper microsoldering yet.
Feels like a bit of a jump, but also where the real repairs start.
Any advice or tips would be appreciated.
